(She looks down at her chord sheet. From the back of the room, ELI steps forward.
He scans the page, then quietly strums the next chord.)
(She looks up, startled.)
AVA
You sure?
(He gives the smallest nod.)
(She starts again. He plays with her – tentative, instinctive.)
(They finish together. A pause.)
(AVA lowers the guitar, breathless. She doesn’t quite look at him.)
(He watches her like he’s trying to remember something.)
